Wholehouse Ventilation

What is Wholehouse ventilation?

Wholehouse Ventilation consists of a central air-handling unit. This unit extracts air through ductwork and also introduces fresh air from outside. The warm air passes through a heat exchanger, which removes the majority of heat from the extract air and stores it. Another fan brings fresh air in from outside and uses this stored heat to warm the intake air. This prevents the loss of heat, which is becoming extremely more expensive.

Advantages of wholehouse ventilation

Energy conservation

With the extremely high cost of energy today using traditional extract fans not only removes moisture and fumes it also removes heat (Money)By using a whole house ventilation system you can save up to 90% of this heat, which is stored and recycled.

Condensation

The modern house, which is much better insulated than before, is prone to much higher levels of condensation. With showers, tumble dryers, drying clothes indoors etc. An average family of two adults and two children can release in excess of 27 pints of moisture into the air every 24 hours. Condensation repairs can be very costly. An effective ventilation system will eliminate condensation, which affects 4.5 million homes in the U.K. today. The costs for condensation repairs are extremely high. Wholehouse ventilation car eradicate these problems.

Health

Damp warm conditions without air movement also provide the perfect breeding ground for the dust mite. The minute house dust mite, which feeds on microscopic fungal growth and dead human skin cells, is now acknowledged to be a major offender in allergic reaction. There is a growing body of medical evidence showing that the microscopic droppings of the house dust mite can be linked to the symptoms of asthma, rhinitis and other bronchial and similar problems, especially in the young and elderly. Effective ventilation will reduce the problems caused by these conditions. Ventaxia produce a number of a heat recovery unit designed for bedrooms or habitable rooms. With constant running, low noise motors along with integral pollen filters it is ideally suited for installation in the homes of allergy/asthma sufferers. It provides constant clean fresh air to any room, thus reducing the particulates in the air that can aggravate allergies or asthma.

Unitary Heat recovery

Where it is not possible to install a whole house ventilation system there is an alternative. You can install unitary heat recovery units. These are units that improve air quality on a room-by-room basis, the Vent-Axia through the wall mounted range of heat recovery ventilation units simultaneously extract stale air and introduce fresh air – warming the incoming air flow with heat recovered from the exhaust stream. The HR25 is specifically designed for easy installation in bathroom applications – simply fitting into a 6" diameter core-cut hole through a bathroom wall, showing just the neatly styled grille on the wall. And for kitchens, the HR200WK has all the ventilation power needed to extract cooking smells and steam, with boost performance to tackle peak requirements.
