Diy Solar Power

With ever increasing electricity costs now is the time to consider diy solar power. I looked at commercial solar power systems but they were too expensive and the payback time was too long.

The world has already consumed 50% of all the worlds oil!! At the current rate of consumtion it will be all gone in thirty or so years time... frightening. , NOW is the time to start doing something about it.

Solar power is the harvesting of light and heat energy from the sun. It is there for free why not utilise it.

I then started researching whether or not I could construct my own solar panels. There is an abundance of information out there and I have spent a lot of time wading through it.

This power can be used to run your lighting in your house, light from the sun is converted into electricity which is stored in solar cells and can be used after dark.

Solar power heating systems work by heating water that is pumped through the solar panels and back into your own central heating storage system.

Massive savings can be made by installng diy solar power. As much as 80% savings can be achieved by diy power at a relatively low cost.

By producing more than you need you can sell some back to the grid electricity suppliers!!

I have now built my own system that is helping with my heating system. I am now looking to expand on this to provide power for my lighting. I am also looking at building a wind turbine, details of this are also on the sites reviewed below.
